SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmacology, namely to herbal crude drug (HCD) decontamination. The method of herbal crude drug decontamination, consisting in herbal crude drug exposure to active particles of nonequilibrium gas plasma; gas plasma is a high-frequency glow discharge of frequency 1.76 MHz; exposure time is 5-300 s and working pressure of plasma gas 0.1-13 Pa which is presented by either oxygen, or nitrogen, or argon, or mixed nitrogen and oxygen in the form of atmospheric air.

EFFECT: method allows decreasing working pressure of HCD processing to the parameters at which the free path length exceeds own sizes of active particles: Pwork=0,1-13, ensuring uniform gas plasma exposure and exposure result reproducibility that provides more efficient HCD decontamination.
