FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing anisotropic cellular structure on plastic substrate. Proposed method comprises stage (a) whereat parallel thin plates of composition based on thermoplastic polymer selected from amorphous and semi-crystalline polymers are continuously extruded through head with multiple parallel slots. At stage (b), gaps between said plates are filled with fluid medium and evacuated. Note here that two sides of one plate are subjected to fluid effects on one side and, on the other side, they are evacuated and so on and so forth to deform plates and solder them together to produce cellular structure with cells expanded perpendicular to direction of extrusion. Cellular structure produced at stage (b) is stretched at stage (c) in direction perpendicular to that of extrusion.
EFFECT: plastic material-based cellular structures to be wound on round drum.
