FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: method to predict secondary immunodeficiencies in newborn calves and piglets, including analysis of biochemical parameters of blood serum, consists in the fact that beestings and blood are sampled from cows and sows after delivery, percentage content of immunoglobulins is determined relative to amount of total protein in serums of beestings and blood, quotient from their division, when below 2.2, development of secondary immunodeficiency is predicted for newborn animals.

EFFECT: method is simple in use and makes it possible to quickly and accurately predict development of secondary immunodeficiencies in newborn animals, does not require high material costs.
