FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on distribution of data before their recording onto a carrier into units (U) and unit groups (UG) with dimensions established with account of size characteristics of carrier defects, on internal unit noise-protected coding of data, on defect-protected coding and addition of UG service data, on primary recording of initial coded and added UGs onto the carrier and their control reading directly after recording with temporary saving of read and appropriate initial UGs and with detection of defective Us in read UGs.
EFFECT: substantial increase of digital data flows protection efficiency during their continuous recording/reproduction against primary, secondary and tertiary defects of the carrier both individually and in various combinations of the primary and secondary defects with the tertiary ones, increased reliability of information recording and storage, extension of time of recorded information storage without loss of its reproduction quality and carriers' service life.
