FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for extracting and collecting isotopic ions from plasma has two electrodes connected to a high-voltage dc source, one being the anode and the other the cathode, a cover with an inlet slit, removable collection vessel for ions of the desired isotopes mounted on the inner surface of the cover, and a protective visor mounted on the outer surface of the cover along the edge of the inlet slit. The cover is made from conducting material and is the anode. The cathode is placed inside the cover. The configuration of the electrodes is chosen such that the area between electrodes lies outside the plasma formation zone.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of collecting ions of the desired isotope and increases concentration level of the desired isotope by preventing clogging of the collector with the starting mixture of the isotopes.
