FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in recording concentration of gas-air mixture; when concentration approaches maximal allowed explosion hazardous levels there are generated sound and light signals. With 10-15 sec time delay supply of gas is turned off in a gas line and a room is ventilated during time: where Vvn is value of a ventilated room, m3, K is multiplicity of air exchange in a room per an hour (K≥5), Lv is efficiency of a fan of emergency ventilation, m3/h, Kn is correction coefficient for calculated volume of air. The device consists of a gas metre, of a communication line with sound and light signalisation, of an electric current source, and of a switch. Via the switch the current source is connected to an input of a starting relay and input of a step-down transformer. The transformer is connected with a gas sensor, amplifier and sound and light signalisation through a rectifier. Amplifier output is connected with an actuating mechanism of a handle of the gas cock. The handle interacts with the switch, an output of which is connected to the input of the fan of emergency ventilation.

EFFECT: raised reliability for prevention of explosion of gas-air mixture in explosion hazardous zones of premises.
