FIELD: automatic means providing for safety in performance of operations under conditions of atmosphere with high control of gas explosion hazardous concentrations. SUBSTANCE: device may be used for prevention of explosions in performance of mining operations in mines, wells, at gas transportation objects, in cases of their leakage in city gas supply systems. Gas-air mixture is passed through explosion-proof device where it is artificially ignited and when concentration is capable of burning, it burns to produce inert combustion products reducing explosion-hazardous gas concentrations. Device consists of flow-through chamber with fire-retarding members, supplying and discharging channels, power supply source, electric pulse generator, spark discharger, temperature-sensitive element and alarm. Flow-through chamber is explosion-proof and serves as a combustion chamber of gas mixture and has lower and upper fire-retarding members of screen type. Chamber accommodates spark discharger connected with electric pulse generator. Located on upper discharge channel is temperature-sensitive element connected with alarm. Supply channel has holes for intake of gas mixture. EFFECT: prevented explosion of gas accumulation in places of gas accumulation by its burning. 1 dwg
