FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises determining time interval from exciting pulse start sent to eddy current converter to intersection of voltage zero level with converter insertion response to decide on properties of scanned bell material proceeding from obtained results. Said zero voltage level at every scanning point represents insertion response amplitude corresponding to time interval shifted relative to excitation pulse start by some constant magnitude and taken to be new point of time count.
EFFECT: higher resolution of proposed method in flaw detection.
