FIELD: non-destructive inspection.

SUBSTANCE: method includes magnetising the inspected object with a magnetising system, eddy currents are incited with the eddy current transformer, the tested object surface is scanned, and the change of parameters ΔU“вн” induced into the eddy current transformer is registered. Furthermore, the induced eddy current frequency is selected on the basis of their penetration into the thin surface layer of the tested object, at least one component of the leakage flux induction ΔB is measured. The presence of flaws is determined by combining the received change infomation ΔU“вн” and ΔB.

EFFECT: increased inspection reliability.
