METHOD OF DIAGNOSTICS OF THE DEGREE OF NEUROLOGIC IMPAIRMENT INTENSITY IN YOUNG CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2668528 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely pediatrics and neurology, and can be used for early diagnosis of CNS affliction in children of the first year of life. Method includes determining homocysteine in blood plasma. At homocysteine values below 5.147 mcmol ml, a neurological deficit is determined; at values from 5.147 to 6.119 mcmol/ml, a mild degree of neurological deficit is diagnosed; at values from 6.12 to 8.943 mcmol/ml, the average degree is diagnosed and at the values of 8.944 mcmol/ml and higher – the severe degree of neurologic deficit. Method allows to predict with high accuracy the degree of severity and intensity of neurological deficit development in young children, which is especially important in the period from birth to six months, when the clinical symptoms are often absent or multidirectional and do not allow a full diagnosis.

EFFECT: method refers to express diagnostics, the execution time takes no more than 30–40 minutes, allows early assignment of pathogenetically justified therapy.
