FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multipurpose medical equipment. Disclosed is a method of air photocatalytic purification and sterilization. The method includes passing air through a photocatalytic membrane. A porous copper-based carrier is used as a photocatalytic membrane. The porous copper-based carrier includes microporous copper or bronze 3 mm thick with pore sizes from 0.5 to 20 mcm. Likewise, a porous carrier with a microporous structure with a coating of the pore surface made of copper nanoparticles can be used as a photocatalytic membrane. The photocatalytic membrane is continuously irradiated with a visible light source, which is an LED matrix, in the spectral range from 400 to 780 nm with luminous power density of 250-500 mW/cm2. The flow rate of the purified air through the photocatalytic membrane is maintained in the range from 1 to 5 m/s.
EFFECT: invention can be used in the processes of air purification and sterilization primarily in medical premises including operating rooms, dental offices, maternity wards as well as in residential and industrial premises and in road, rail, water and air transport.
