FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: Cd (II) ions are sorbed from the analysed solution on a fabric carrier by dipping the fabric carrier into the analysed solution followed by separation of the liquid phase and treatment of the fabric carrier with formazan taken in amount of 0.025-0.125% of the weight of the fabric carrier. The formazin used is 1-(n-bromomethyl)-3-phenyl-5-(benzoxazol-2-yl) formazin. Concentration of Cd (II) ions is determined visually by comparing intensity of the colour of the fabric carrier with an imitation colour scale.

EFFECT: wide range of means of testing and high sensitivity of analysis while maintaining accuracy of results.
