FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: voltammetric detection of antimony, bismuth and copper is carried out. Sb, Bi and Cu undergo electroconcentration on the gold-containing surface of different types of carbonaceous electrodes in a stirred solution for 60-120 s with electrolysis potential Ee(-0.9 to -1.1) V on the background of 0.1 M HCl. The solution is the held without mixing in the region of oxygen limiting current at (-0.3 to -0.6) V, with subsequent cyclic variation of potential (CVP) from -0.3 to 0.4 and back at 50-100 mV/s. The copper signal is detected and evaluated by adding standard solutions with anode sweeping via CVP Ep(Cu) 0.22-0.26 V, the antimony and bismuth signal is detected and evaluated by adding standard solutions with cathode sweeping via CVP Ep(Sb) 0.0-0.07, Ep(Bi) 0.11-0.18 in form of a first derivative of dl/dE relative a saturated silver chloride electrode.
EFFECT: detection of antimony, bismuth and copper in aqueous solutions via anodic-cathodic voltammetry.
