FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing hydrochloric acid involves absorption of aqueous hydrogen chloride obtained by burning hydrogen in waste chlorine from burning electrolytic chlorine. Waste hydrogen chloride from cracking dichloroethane during production of vinyl chloride is fed into the region for burning hydrogen in waste chlorine. Waste hydrogen chloride is fed in volume ratio of waste hydrogen chloride, per 100% hydrogen chloride, to waste chlorine, per 100% chlorine, of not more than 6:1.
EFFECT: invention enables to recycle waste hydrogen chloride.
