FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves melting of aluminium base and introduction to it of aluminium-beryllium alloy combination (Al-4.26%Be), aluminium-zirconium alloy combination (Al-3.0%Zr) and aluminium-titanium alloy combination (Al-3.0%Ti), as well as magnesium. Aluminium-zirconium alloy combination (Al-3.0%Zr) and aluminium-titanium alloy combination (Al-3.0%Ti) are separately pre-molten during 15 min in vacuum induction high-frequency furnace at 1100-1200°C and negative pressure of 0.799-1.066 Pa with their further pouring into layers 15-20 mm thick into casting mould without vacuum removal.
EFFECT: in molten metal the gas content is decreased, and as a result, mechanical properties of cast aluminium-magnesium alloy are improved.
