FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: high-strength foil from microcomposite material is proposed. Foil contains copper matrix (2) and strengthening metallic inclusions of the second phase from alloy of copper with metal having body-centred cubic (BCC) lattice. Inclusions of the second phase consist of copper with metal with BCC lattice, which have solubility limit in copper at room temperature of <0.3 wt %, and represent plates (3) of alloy with thickness of 5 to 10 nm, which are oriented along the direction of the plate rolling and arranged in copper matrix at the distance of 30 to 100 nm. At that, volume fraction of inclusions of the second phase is 10-30 %. Combination of high strength and electric conductivity is typical of the proposed foil, and namely: ultimate strength of more than 600 MPa, electric conductivity - more than 60% IACS.

EFFECT: bending fatigue strength is higher than that of common material.
