DEVICE FOR CONTROL OF CORROSION RATE AND CONDITION OF WELDING SEAMS OF PIPELINE FOR OIL-GAS-CHEMICAL PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC F17D5/00 

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: device for control of corrosion rate and condition of welding seams of pipeline for oil-gas-chemical products consists of branch set vertically and on top of main pipeline, and also of samples fabricated separately of material similar to material of main pipeline and poisoned in medium of transported product. Also, the device has a shut off gate installed coaxially to the branch, a cylinder cartridge assembled coaxially to gate output, its base with coaxial threaded orifice is set upward, a packing cap coaxially arranged on the base of the cartridge, a spindle set along axis "the gate-the cartridge-the cap" so, that thread of the spindle engages thread of the orifice of cartridge base. A removable flywheel is mounted on an upper end of the spindle. Samples are arranged on a lower end of the spindle. Each sample consists of two parts connected with a welding seam according to welding process of main pipeline assembly.

EFFECT: upgraded quality of measurement of corrosion rate and accuracy of prognosis for service life of pipeline; facilitation of control over condition of welding seams avoiding pipeline shut down.
