FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for sealing leak point of cooling radiator core consists in degreasing (flooding) supposed leak point with acetone or benzene, in blowing with compressed air, in drying and in modifying in case of necessity. Further, a rubber padding lubricated with a layer of oil is laid over this point to easily detach it after compound hardening without damage of coating. The radiator is set horizontally on a wooden rest tightly pressing the rubber padding to the radiator. Thin wall tubes of higher heat conductivity are inserted to a damaged point of radiator from the back side; tubes are filled with shape-generating glue composition with fillers of higher heat conductivity.
EFFECT: raised heat conductivity of repaired section of radiator for maintaining optimal heat mode of operation of vehicle engine.
