FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: system consists of three basic units: a central module, an interface device and the diagnosed object. The central module includes a personal computer. The interface device facilitates generation and control of input and output signals which can be analogue or digital. The interface device facilitates communication of the central module with the diagnosed object through a contact device. Control devices and an interface module form a central interface controller which provides communication between the central module and the diagnosed object. In the disclosed system, faults in the diagnosed object are determined using a mathematical diagnosis algorithm on the computer.

EFFECT: detecting a specific faulty element, faster detection of faults in diagnosed objects, broader functionalities of the system, particularly diagnosis of electrical equipment and possibility of functional diagnosis directly in operating mode.
