SUBSTANCE: circuit with at least one piezoelectric drive 142 comprises piezoelectric starting circuit 802 to generate signal of unipolar voltage excitation in unit 804. Piezoelectric drive starting circuit 802 comprises voltage increase switchboard circuit or charging circuit 806, voltage decrease switchboard circuit or current drain discharging pulse circuit 808 and control signal generation signal. Circuit 810 receives input control signal 812 from, for example, keyboard processor or other processor 604 to generate tactile feedback that incorporates piezoelectric drive 142. Control signal generation signal 810 supplies two pulse-width-modulated control signals. One signal serves to control charging circuit while second signal is used to control discharging circuit to generate unipolar voltage excitation signal. Excitation signal represents, for example, raised cosine signal 904.
