FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Light-emitting diodes in a light-emitting diode panel during phototherapy are controlled in such a way that light intensity varies in accordance with a sinusoidal function, thereby eliminating harmonics that are generated when LEDs are pulsed in digital mode, in accordance with a square wave function. This is achieved in a similar way when using a sinusoidal signal to control the gate of a MOS transistor connected in series to LEDs, or using a digital-to-analogue converter for controlling the gate of the MOS transistor with a step function, which represents the values of the sinusoidal function at given intervals. In addition, pulse-width modulation is used to control the gate of the MOS transistor such that the average value of current passing through the LEDs simulates a sinusoidal function.
EFFECT: in addition to using a simple function of a sinusoidal signal, the current of LEDs can be controlled in accordance with chords containing several sinusoids of different frequencies.
