FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology. Antihypertensive laser cyclocoagulation is followed by analysis of lachrymal fluid crystallography before and not less than four weeks after an intervention. Post-operative intraocular pressure is measured. If observing an intraocular pressure decrease to a targeted value, preservation of an intermediate zone width or the absence of a protein band, trophic laser cyclocoagulation is prescribed. If the targeted intraocular pressure is not reached, the intermediate zone width is preserved, and the absence of the protein band is observed, antihypertensive laser cyclocoagulation or antiglaucomatous surgery is required.
EFFECT: method enables decreasing intraocular pressure in the optimal way, and provides stable improvement of visual functions in patients with glaucomatous optic neuropathy due to an objective estimation of metabolic changes in eye tissues in therapeutic decisions.
