FIELD: fire-fighting means.

SUBSTANCE: said invention refers to dry type sprinkler fire systems and a method of designing and installation thereof. A dry type, solely ceiling system for fire protection of shelf warehouse for class of goods as: class I-III, group A, group B or group C at warehousing height greater than twenty five feet (7.62 metres); and class IV at warehousing height greater than twenty two feet (6.7056 metres). The dry type, solely ceiling fire system comprises a pipe arrangement and a number of sprinklers above the shelf warehouse with said set of sprinklers having a K-factor greater than approximately 11, and estimated temperature making approximately 286°F (approximately 141.1°C). A preferential sprinkler system is designed for warehouse fire protection and uses a surrounding and flooding effect for fire extinguishing facilitation.

EFFECT: invention also aims at the method of designing and installation of such systems.
