FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for fire fighting localised in volume and/or area using fire extinguishers in fire hazardous zones of buildings and plants. The invention is based on the object of improving the structural units so that the thermal load in case of fire could not spread to other zones and thus escape routes, openings in the walls and the left technical means such as control means, loaders, etc., with additional minimising of consumption of fire-extinguishing agent and harm reduction in the event of fire while simultaneous improving economical efficiency are maximally protected against the effects of impact of fire-extinguishing agent, and the constructive compensation between the structure and the plant for extinguishing fire is simultaneously achieved. This object is achieved in that around the fire source and/or in fire hazardous zones at least one wall of the fire-extinguishing agent is created of spray mist to prevent the extension of thermal load to other zones along at least one being controlled by means of detecting vertical and/or horizontal plane of sputtering extending between the supports related to fire source, respectively, the fire hazardous zone, and/or simultaneously at least one additional wall of fire-extinguishing agent of spray mist for protection and cooling the escape routes, approach roads, openings in fire walls and technical means inside the building along the spraying plane passing between relating to them supports conducting fire-extinguishing agent..
