FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of articles from foamed aluminium. Initial raw stock from aluminium alloys and frothing agent is subjected to mechanical processing in oxygen-containing atmosphere at intensity of 2-8 kW per 1 dm3 of grinding device. Produced is homogeneous powder with fine-grained structure consisting of aluminium alloy, frothing agent and synthesized ceramic particles of aluminium oxide in amount of 5-20 wt %. Said powder is used to form billet to be placed in mould for foaming. Said billet retains geometry and sizes in thermal treatment by heating and foaming to produce the article and to cool down the mould.
EFFECT: higher mechanical properties.
