FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of sheet aluminum. It can be used in machine building, particularly civil engineering, road construction, aircraft engineering, automotive industry, car building. Method of production of sheet products from foamed aluminum, including filling of powder mixture, heating powder mixture to temperature of 500–550 °C and hot compacting of powder mixture on rectangular plate passing under upper working roll with formation of gauge, characterized by that powder mixture containing aluminum alloy and foamer is prepared, with size of granules of 50–200 mcm and heated to 500–550 °C, filled to rectangular groove heated to temperature of aluminum powder mixture plate, which is formed by installed on plate longitudinal and transverse inserts. Compacted volume is closed along perimeter by means of moving side inserts, and from above with stationary cover-wiring, made with inclined working plane, providing for 85 % of its initial length, passage and compaction under it of hot powder mixture at inlet angle of up to 0.5°. Crosswise inserts are lowered during compaction and compacting in direct ratio to variation of height of contacting hot powder mixture and to plane of plate, and longitudinal inserts are expanded by 5–10 mm after completion of compaction.

EFFECT: higher uniformity of structural and mechanical properties, fire and explosion safety of production.
