FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of articles from foamed aluminium-based laminar composite material. Powder mix containing powder of aluminium allow and porophore are laid in one or several layers in a container. The latter is heated and hot-rolled at 20-130 MPa to produce a billet. The latter is placed in foaming mould, heated therein and foamed for 0.5-2.0 min to produce an article. Said mould is with foamed article cooled down. Total hold-down time from the beginning of foaming powder material decomposition to aluminium liquidus temperature in mould cooling makes 1.5-4.0 min.
EFFECT: expanded processing performances, possibility of hardening and improving structural properties.
