FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elevator. Starting device for actuation of the braking device includes a body, a starting element, a contact device and a connecting link. Contact device comprises rotary lever and at least two contact elements. Lever is attached to one side of the guide rail, serves as a support for the first contact element installed in the slotted link, forming the first contact zone, and protrudes beyond the rail to the other side of the rail, serves as a support for at least one more, second, contact element forming the second contact zone. Lever is attached to the housing and in the process of its attraction to the rail it moves, providing a stretching or compression force on the connecting link, actuating the braking device.
EFFECT: enabling the possibility of electrically starting elevator braking devices, which were previously actuated by mechanical means.
