FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to handling of radioactive waste (RW) of low and middle level of activity and designed for their safe long-term storage and/or deposition in underground facilities created in homogeneous low-permeable rocks. In underground long-term storage and/or deposition facility of packings (3) of radioactive waste, which contain one ore more tunnels (2) connected to ground receiving facility of the above packings (3), transportation device of packings and device for their piling, in lower part of tunnel (2) there made is transport corridor (4) including side walls (5) and roofing (6) with packing (3) supply opening (8) equipped with cover (7); in the above opening (8) there arranged with possibility of longitudinal movement is transportation device of packings (3) of radioactive waste; on roofing of corridor there arranged with possibility of longitudinal movement is piling device of packings (3) of radioactive waste; at that, upper part (15) of tunnel (2) is separated with protective covering (13).
EFFECT: providing the possibility of transportation of packings of radioactive waste, control of their state, operation and repair of installations when the personnel is out of enhanced radiation zone.
