FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: palladium and silver nitrate is mixed normal or alkylaromatic hydrocarbons and an alkanethiol stabiliser, after which the mixture is exposed to an ultrasonic dispersant. The minimum amount of stabiliser is such that the nanoclusters are coated with a monomolecular layer of the stabiliser.

EFFECT: invention simplifies production of nanoclusters of palladium and silver.
