FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of silver nanoparticles, and can be used during processes where ultrafine silver powders are used. Method includes synthesis of silver-borate glass produced from charge for synthesis of the silver-borate glass containing from 2 to 38 mol % of silver oxide in layer with thickness 4 mm, then glass is subject to exposing under natural sun light or under X-ray exposure with creation of the surface film out of silver nanoparticles.
EFFECT: method simplifies process of silver nanoparticles production due to exclusion of use of reducing agent and ensures high output of the desired product.
