FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexabenzyl-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazatetracyclo[5,5,0,03.11,05.9]dodecane, involving condensation of glyoxal with benzylamine, filtration of the obtained product and washing, characterised by that in order to reduce consumption of acetonitrile, synthesis is carried out in molar ratio acetonitrile/glyoxal in the range of 10.5…20.0, which is the intermediate product during synthesis of hexanitrohexaazaiso-wurtzitane - a powerful explosive.
EFFECT: obtaining a composition while significantly reducing consumption of acetonitrile and increasing output per unit volume of the reaction apparatus and reducing labour input and simplifying implementation of the technological process.
