FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in the method, recording is done using focused laser radiation at one wavelength. The multilayer carrier with a photosensitive medium used is a set of waveguides having central waveguide layers with a photosensitive chromone. Under the effect of laser radiation, the chromone forms a luminescenct form. The carrier also has input diffraction gratings with different grating constants, placed between the central waveguide layer with photosensitive chromone and the boundary waveguide layer of each waveguide. Optical information is recorded in two-photon laser radiation absorption mode.

EFFECT: high accuracy during selective recording and reading optical information in a multilayer sensitive medium.
