FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for combustion of gaseous fuel consists in supply of gas and oxidant to area of gas burning with parallel jets creating area of stabilisation in point of discharge flows encounter, and in partial supply of gas and oxidant into this area. Stabilisation area is screened with a wall from the main flow of oxidant. Primary mixture of gas and oxidant with coefficient of air excess 0.3-0.45 is formed in this area. The burner consists of coaxially arranged air supplying case 1, gas pipe 2 with nozzle 3 and stabilising head with orifices 7 for inlet of oxidant. The stabilising head is made in form of a drum with end perforated walls 6 and 9. Also, length of an internal cavity of the head is from 0.5 to 1.5 of it diametre, while area of orifices 10 in end wall 9 for inlet of oxidant amounts from 10 to 20 % of general area for its outflow.
EFFECT: obtaining uninterrupted long flare at combustion of gaseous fuel under conditions of high rate of gas and oxidant outflow.
