FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in a velocity sensor (10) which can output electrical signals associated with vibration despite that the sensor (10) is exposed to low levels of gamma-radiation, the direct current feedback circuit (D2, R5, R10, R4) which sets the bias point of the input stage, maintains input bias voltage within a voltage range suitable for use while the sensor (10) is exposed to gamma-radiation. An additional JFET transistor connected as a current source (11) helps compensate for increase in bias voltage of the JFET amplifier (U1) through the direct current feedback circuit (D2, R5, R10, R4). The value of the resistor (R4) which controls the gate current of the JFET amplifier (U1) is also reduced.
EFFECT: when stray current increases, bias voltage drops.
