FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electronic systems (ACS) of automatic control of gas-turbine units (GTU) of gas-compressor plant (GCP) and gas turbine electric power stations (GTEPS). The essence of invention consists in the fact that during the process of GTU start additionally there measured is a frequency of GTU starter output shaft rotation and it is compared to pre-set value defined for each type of starter by calculation-experimental method. If measured frequency is higher than pre-set value the signal "Stop of starting by starter rotation limit frequency" is formed, starter is switched off and GTU emergency stop is performed.

EFFECT: increase of GTU technical condition control quality and improvement of GTU, GCP and GTEPS operating reliability.
