FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining an explosion-proof separator involves depositing a porous layer of a low-melting polymer on one or two surfaces of a microporous membrane. A solution of a polymer prone to phase separation at low temperature is deposited on the microporous membrane. The solvent is then removed at temperature lower than phase separation temperature. The solvent is selected such that dissolution takes place at temperature higher than the melting point of the polymer.

EFFECT: obtaining an explosion-proof separator.
