FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology to generate gas and drop jets by ejection and may be used in machine building, for instance, to apply melt sprayed solid lubricant material onto a polishing disc. Compressed air and fluid material are supplied into a mixer to form a gas and drop mixture in a mixing chamber. The mixture is supplied via a nozzle in the form of a sprayed torch to a processed surface. At the same time parameters of the sprayed torch are controlled by variation of supplied compressed pressure and volume of the mixing chamber. The volume is varied by longitudinal displacement of a tube for fluid material supply. A mixer is used with a replaceable bushing arranged in it, as well as replaceable tubes for supply of fluid material and a nozzle. The following ratio is observed: S3/S2>1, where: S3 - area of the cross section of the nozzle; S2 - area of the circular gap formed by the external diameter of the tube for supply of fluid material and inner diameter of the bushing.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of generation of finely dispersed gas and drop flow, even distribution of liquid drops in a gas flow and expanded technological capabilities of the method with reduction of costs for manufacturing and operation of the mixing unit.
