FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of manufacturing corundum refractory materials by method of vibration forming, which may be used in various thermal plants, resistant to exposure to high temperatures and aggressive media. The proposed method includes grinding of alumina, preparation of water forming mass from powders of electric corundum with ground alumina, vibration casting of stocks and baking at the temperature of 1600…1700°C. The binder used to make a forming mass is a water extract of ammonia salts of humic acid of peat with weight portion of dry substances equal to 1-3%, taken in the amount of 4.5-5.5% of the dry mixture weight. The dry mixture has the following composition, wt %: white electric corundum F-12 10-15; white electric corundum F-36 35-45; white electric corundum F-220 15-25 and ground alumina GN 25-30.
EFFECT: production of corundum refractory materials with Al2O3 content of at least 98 wt % with higher density, strength and low porosity, and also provision of high vibration mobility of forming mass at low content of the binder and high strength of raw stocks.
