FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composition for producing light-weight refractory material contains hollow corundum spheres, binder and a dispersed aluminosilicate mixture; according to the invention the dispersed aluminosilicate mixture contains an alumina component, a silicon-containing component, a sillimanite group material, wherein the ratio Al2O3/SiO2 in said aluminosilicate mixture is (5-8):(4-1), with the following ratio of components, wt %: hollow corundum spheres with a size of 0.1-8 mm - 57-85, dispersed aluminosilicate mixture - 10-38, organosilicon binder - 5-15. The dispersed aluminosilicate mixture contains, wt %: alumina component 50-85, silicon-containing component 10-40, sillimanite group material 7-20.
EFFECT: high closed porosity and resistance to cyclic high-temperature action of the refractory material at operating temperature of up to 1700 degrees or higher.
