FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: furnace includes crucible, inductor with the main and additional coils, power supply, two capacitors one of which is in-series connected to the main coil and power supply, thus forming the main circuit, and the other one is connected to additional coils which are arranged around the main coil and are connected in series and opposite, thus forming short-circuited loop; at that, the number of turns of additional coils and capacity of capacitors are chosen so that the resonance condition can be met between inductively connected main and short-circuited loops.

EFFECT: invention allows effective mixing of molten metal and increases power factor of the plant.
