FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: device for measuring soil hardness consists of a platform (1) with locks (2), stocks (3) and measuring instruments (4). The platform has a horizontal (5) and a vertical (6) plane, where the plates (7) with stocks (3) are mounted. The plates (7) through the holes (8) in the planes are connected by a "П"-shaped insert (9) with the measuring instrument (4), placed in a "П"-shaped insert (9) and in contact with the plane of the platform. At that the stocks (3) are made of equal length and placed on the plates in rows.
EFFECT: invention allows to determine the soil hardness in the vertical and horizontal directions, as well as to evaluate its ability to generate a high yield of field crops without cultivation.
