METHOD OF DETERMINING MAGNETOMETER CALIBRATION CURVE PARAMETERS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01R33/02 G01R35/02

Abstract RU 2433421 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method involves superimposing the magneto-sensitive axis of the magnetometer with the axis of the direction of Earth's magnetic induction vector whose magnitude is known and determining the result of converting this value using the magnetometer. The results of converting standard magnetic induction values additionally acting at the input of the magnetometer are then determined, said standard values being formed by a series of turns of the magneto-sensitive axis of the magnetometer relative the axis of the direction of the Earth's magnetic induction vector by angles ranging from 0 to 180°. The number of additional effects and their conversions is equal to the number of sections of the piecewise linear approximation of the calibration curve. Each of these effects is formed by turning the magneto-sensitive axis by an angle which provides a value of the input quantity at the boundary point of the axis approximation intervals of the values of magnetic induction of the calibration curve. Input effects formed in turning angle range from 0 to 90° and from 90° to 180° belong to boundary points of axis approximation intervals of positive and negative values of magnetic induction, respectively. Parameters of the calibration curve are then determined in approximation intervals in form of results of solving a system of linear equations of corresponding approximation intervals, given in form of a system of functions of input effects and parameters of the calibration curve.

EFFECT: simple method of determining the calibration curve of a magnetometer.
