SUBSTANCE: invention relates to time synchronization means between a plurality of systems in a local computer network. In particular, a time synchronization system for an industrial machine is proposed, comprising: a programmable logic controller (PLC) comprising a PLC clock having local time, while local time is the time of the zone in which the industrial machine is located, and the zone is outside the time zone of the Universal Coordinated Time (UTC). In this case, the PLC is configured to control the production function of the industrial machine and transmit local time masked as a time value of UTC. In addition, the system comprises a computer subsystem having a local time clock with a configurable time zone parameter that is set for the UTC time zone, and the Daylight Saving Time (DST) parameter, which is turned off. In this case, the computer subsystem receives local time, broadcast by the PLC, and the local time clock is set according to the received local time from the PLC.

EFFECT: invention can be used to assign time stamps to monitor the operation of an industrial machine.
