Menstrual or hygienic tampon, which has body from absorption material, and body has at least one zone, which includes solid hydrophobic substance, which has fusion temperature 37°C, and which at least partially impregnated in absorption material of tampon.

EFFECT: solid hydrophobic substance forms barrier for liquid, which limits expansion and/or absorption by said zone during contact of tampon body with absorption liquid.
