FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: here is claimed procedure of low temperature nitriding in plasma of non-self-maintained arc discharge of low pressure of titanium alloys BT6 AND BT16. The procedure includes nitriding with usage of nitrogen-argon as plasma forming mixture. Nitriding is performed at temperature 450°C and there is used ion and electron components of plasma.
EFFECT: raised operational characteristics.
