FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic field of partial discharges in insulation is perceived with inductive and capacitive sensors. Output signals of sensors are filtered, amplified and multiplied one by the other. Depending on the sign of product there shaped are two signals. The first signal is proportional to current value of total apparent charge of partial discharges and the second one is proportional to current value of frequency of partial discharges. By means of the first signal there determined is dependence of total apparent charge on voltage at high-voltage input of diagnosed equipment. By means of the second signal there corrected is the speed of changing the intensity of electric field in insulation, thus providing frequency stabilisation of partial discharges.

EFFECT: reducing measurement error, increasing selectivity and informativity of partial discharges.
