SUBSTANCE: multimedia content is recorded into a file according to the file format, which provides instructions on constructing multimedia data packets. At least one received multimedia data packet is presented in said file using instructions on constructing multimedia data packets. At least one received multimedia data packet in the file is accompanied by the indication that, that packet might contain errors. The advantage of this technique lies in easy detection of erroneously transmitted packets, which can be used to prevent failures in a playback device.
EFFECT: broader functionalities of transmitting multimedia data owing to storage of received data streams in the container media file.
