SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer technology. The technical result consists in maintaining a stable frame rate. The method of decoding video information includes decoding the first part of the images of the first encoded video presentation; processing decoded images from the first part of the images of the first encoded video presentation and converting them into processed decoded images; receiving and syntactic parsing information about decoding images of the second encoded video presentation; provided that the said information about decoding images of the second encoded video presentation indicates that the second encoded video presentation can be decoded using the processed decoded images from the first encoded video presentation as reference images for prediction, the method additionally includes: switching to the second encoded video presentation, starting with the second part of the images of the second encoded video presentation; decoding the second part of the images of the second encoded video presentation using the above-mentioned processed decoded images as reference images that can be used for prediction.
EFFECT: technical result consists in maintaining a stable frame rate.
