FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention aims at preventing cracking of ceramic parts by decreasing mechanical strains in weld seam. Note here that sea, sections the most remote from weld seam are subjected to minimum thermal effects. Parts to be welded together are placed in vacuum chamber. Pressure of 5 to 20 Pa is created in said vacuum chamber. Defocused electron beam from defocused electron beam source is directed to areas adjoining the joint to heat them to temperature lower than that of melting temperature of the parts to be welded together. Then butt joint is welded by focused beam. Well joint formed, focused beam source is cut off. Unfocused beam power is reduced to zero during time interval defined by type of ceramics and that of parts being welded. After curing in vacuum, welded parts are withdrawn from chamber into atmosphere.

EFFECT: ruling out of ceramic part cracking.
